Welcome to therapy that goes beyond talk therapy.

When childhood experiences shape how you react in your adult relationships, understanding why isn't enough. You know your patterns. You've done the work to understand where they come from. But in the moment when anxiety hits or someone gets too close or your emotions feel too big, your body takes over.

That's because unresolved trauma doesn't live in your thoughts. It lives in your nervous system.

As someone who has navigated my own healing journey through developmental trauma, I've seen how somatic work creates transformation that traditional therapy often can't reach. My practice specializes in helping adults heal attachment wounds, regulate their nervous systems, and shift the physical symptoms of anxiety that keep showing up no matter how much insight you've gained.

Whether you're struggling with relationship patterns that seem impossible to break, navigating the intense emotions of motherhood and the perinatal period, or working to heal your own childhood wounds so you don't pass them on to your children, this work addresses the root cause. Not just the symptoms.

Through our work together, you'll reconnect with your authentic self and finally build the secure, fulfilling relationships you've always wanted.

How This Work Is Different:

Maybe you've never been to therapy before and you're not even sure what "somatic" means. Or maybe you've been in therapy for years, read all the books, and still can't stop the patterns when they're actually happening.

Here's what makes this different: this isn't about gaining more insight. You probably already understand why you react the way you do. The problem is your body hasn't gotten the memo.

Somatic Experiencing and attachment work are experiential, not just conversational. We work directly with what's happening in your nervous system in real time.

You'll learn to recognize when your body is going into fight, flight, or freeze before it completely takes over. You'll practice staying present with uncomfortable sensations instead of shutting down or exploding. And over time, your body will actually learn that safety is safe.

What this looks like in practice:

  • If you shut down when conflict happens, we'll work with the physical sensations of shutting down while they're happening, so you can learn to stay present instead.

  • If your child's crying sends you into panic mode, we'll address the nervous system response that gets triggered, not just talk about why it happens.

  • If you've tried setting boundaries but always cave under pressure, we'll work with what happens in your body when you try to hold a boundary, building capacity where it's actually needed.

  • If anxiety lives in your chest or stomach, we'll work directly with those physical symptoms to help your nervous system regulate.

The result? You'll stop reacting from old survival patterns and start responding from who you actually are. You'll feel calm during difficult conversations. You'll trust your own needs. You'll be present with your children's emotions without losing yourself. Not because you white-knuckled your way through it, but because your nervous system finally feels safe enough to show up differently.

This is body-based trauma therapy that creates lasting change at the nervous system level. For adults healing developmental trauma, anxious or avoidant attachment patterns, relationship anxiety, or the unique challenges of maternal mental health and breaking generational cycles.

"Working with Rachel transformed my relationship with myself at the deepest level. Her somatic approach helped me understand why I'd get overwhelmed in social situations and shut down during difficult conversations. She connected patterns I never saw before, showing how my nervous system's response affected everything from relationships to eating patterns. For the first time, I feel truly regulated during challenges that used to completely derail me. Rachel provided not just insight but the physiological relief I couldn't find in years of traditional therapy."

"Before working with Rachel, I constantly felt 'tangled' in my thoughts. Through our sessions, I discovered how my body had been holding patterns of self-doubt from my childhood that no amount of positive thinking could shift. Rachel guided me to notice subtle physical sensations that were actually doorways to profound change. The most remarkable transformation was learning to calm my relationship avoidance. Suddenly relationships felt safer and my authentic self could emerge. Her body-centered approach built an internal security I never thought possible."

"After giving birth, I felt anxious and defensive, turning conversations with my husband into arguments. Rachel's Somatic Experiencing techniques taught me to physically access peace during stressful moments. Unlike therapists who just gave me space to talk, Rachel gave me tools to become who I want to be. I learned to tune into my body's sensations to regulate emotions in real time. The result? I enjoyed postpartum more, feeling genuine joy with my baby and husband. I would recommend Rachel to anyone wanting therapy that truly transforms their experience."
